Chief Olu Ela Carl Fanfair
Chief Olu Ela Carl Fanfair, is the Founder and Spiritual Leader of Ile Osa Kanran Culture and Spiritual Temple, established in 2001 in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Born in Guyana and migrating to the U.S. at age two, he was raised in New York City. His commitment to community service started at 17 and has been his lifelong mission.
Despite a challenging youth in Brooklyn, Chief Olu Ela chose a positive path, becoming a role model and inspiration to many. He founded the 'Young, Gifted and Black Youth Group,' creating programs that have empowered countless young people in his community.
In addition to being a community activist, Chief Olu Ela is a certified life coach, motivational speaker, and youth mentor. His certifications from Momentum Education and the World Coaching Institute, along with his spiritual insight, enable him to guide individuals toward self-discovery and fulfillment.
His dedication to mentoring youth is a cornerstone of his work. He and his wife, Olori Olosun Camille, have raised three sons and a daughter during their 29-year partnership. With a focus on fostering character, purpose-driven living, and spiritual well-being, Chief Olu Ela continues to inspire those around him, cultivating a community centered on personal growth and integrity.
