Baba Efunwale Ali

Olobata Efunwale Ali is a Babalorisa and Anthropologist who has trained and studied in the ways of the Orisa Obatala for over a decade. His training began in the town of Ile ife under the tutelage of Chief Adekunle Akintitan and Yeye Apenimo Olosun Ade Doyin in the town of osogbo where he would stay and travel every to Orisa day to Obatala temple in Igbo Itapa Ile Ife to play the scared ewo gong and igbin drums of Obatala. His Tutelage later continued in the town of Oyo Alaafin under his mentor Chief Jagun Obatala Adisa Adejare. 

Efunwale’s years dedication to the study and propagation of the Obatala was taken notice by Chief Priest Isoro O Dada Obalesun whom in 2022 had given title as Chief Gbaroye Obatala in the town of Ile ife where he his studies truly began. As a cultural anthropologist his mission has been to unify and uplift the image of African spirituality world wide. Presently Efunwale resides in the town of Ibadan as well as the city of Brooklyn where he conducts readings, ebo and teaches classes for all seeking Orisa knowledge. Efunwale has also began a charity “Olorisa for Humanity” whose mission is to provide food, educational, and medical support to Olorisa in underserved communities. As a life long student and servant of Orisa Efunwale has made it his mission to serve as beacon and brother for all who are dedicated in the mission of uplifting Orisa spirituality World Wide.
