Baba Solomon Omojie (Osundara) is an Ika and Yoruba priest based in Lagos, Nigeria. Born into a family with a 500-year tradition of cultivating Olokun for the kings of Owa, he was initiated at the age of 12. He holds numerous titles across Nigeria, including Amoja (sash holder) for Yemoja and Osun, and is initiated into various Orisas such as Obatala, Orisa Oko, Obaluaye, and Oya. He is also a Baba Egbe and an Egungun priest, having undergone initiation in both Ibadan and Ilaro.
Baba Solomon has studied Merindilogun and ritual practices with esteemed figures, including the Baale Yemoja of Ibadan and other notable Iyas from various regions. While teaching, he continues to learn from his elders.
Academically, he holds a postgraduate degree in Criminology from Obafemi Awolowo University and is pursuing a master’s degree in the same field. His diverse background includes extensive studies in martial arts and Hindu tantra, where he has also undergone initiation. Additionally, he has been initiated as a priest of Kunga in Cameroon, enriching his role as a teacher, scholar, and priest with cross-cultural knowledge and understanding.
